Coastal Africa should take full responsibility for its shipping security, minimising criminal activities posing threats to the entire continent. Africa has not fully taken advantage of the ocean economy, we are still stuck into the agricultural and mining (mineral resources) economy while we overlook a sector which can liberate us from beggary.
