Lumanyano graduated from the University of the Free State in 2019, receiving his undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts with a specialisation in Governance and Political Transformation. In 2020, he completed his Bachelor of Arts Honours with a specialisation in Political Science, while his research report focused on economic prosperity and state development in authoritarian countries across sub-Saharan Africa. 2021, marks his first year of his Master of Arts with a specialisation in Political Science, focusing on economic prosperity and state development in authoritarian countries in East, Central, and West Africa.
